This is the index page for some exercises designed to help you learn about materials we are studying and to test your knowledge of them.  Providing these is an experiment, and I will appreciate your feedback.  More information on setting your computer's security settings to load these exercises appears below.  Check your settings if you have trouble getting the exercises to work.

• Flash card exercises are electronic drill-and-practice exercises. 
• Matching exercises give you a list of definitions or authors (or whatever) and ask you to choose the one that belongs with a particular term or work (etc.). 
• Drag and drop exercises also have you match terms to definitions (authors to works, etc.), but they do it in another, possibly more interesting way.  If you need more room to work, press F11 to make the Internet Explorer controls take up less of the screen.  (Press F11 again to get the familiar controls back.)
• Crosswords are exactly what you would expect!
