Texts for ENG 2313, section 01, F2007
The
main text for ENG 2313 in the fall semester of 2009 will be volume 1 of the
shorter seventh edition of the
Norton
Anthology of American Literature.
The WSSU bookstore has the correct volume in stock. If you buy it elsewhere, be very careful to get the shorter version of the 7th edition and to get volume 1, beginnings to 1865. (Do not buy an earlier edition of the Norton. There are several versions of the seventh edition, so check carefully to see what you are buying.)
There is a one-volume version of the shorter 7th edition that combines this text with the one I used last semester (and will probably use again) in ENG 2314. However, it is not noticeably cheaper than a two-volume set, and all the page numbers would be wrong, at least in ENG 2314. (I have not compared the page numbers in the first half to those in volume 1).
