This verb maze will help you learn to identify the eight sentence types described in The Uses of Grammar, by Judith Rodby and W. Ross Winterowd.* Asking yourself questions in a systematic way is a great deal more effective than trying to look at the whole sentence and jump straight to the answer, but it takes practice to be systematic.
